The Final Word

Strategic Priorities

As we come to the final week of the school year it is timely to look ahead to 2017 and beyond. The College Board recently endorsed our 2017-2020 Strategic Plan which followed 6 months of consultation and development. The plan sets out our strategic direction for the next four years with our strategic priorities being based around our four cornerstones along with our commitment to effective governance and the development of world-class facilities. The full Strategic Plan can be viewed on Kiconline under General Information/College/KIC Strategic Plan.

At the beginning of the 2017 Academic year I will share the full details of our 2017 Annual plan so that all parents are able to see where our energies will be focussed throughout the year. As the year progresses I will report on progress against our KPI’s to the College Board and to the community.

The Bell 2016

All Kardinia families should now have received their copy of The Bell magazine for 2016. I am sure you will agree that it is a high quality magazine which provides a wonderful memento of the year that was at Kardinia. This year we have published the magazine in time for the end of the year rather than early the following year. We hope this enables students and families to enjoy the magazine over the holiday period. I would like to thank our editorial team led superbly by Debbie Goodfellow and Nick Kerber for their hard work and commitment towards meeting the new deadline. I trust all families enjoy the final product.

The Final Word

It is hard to believe that we have reached the final enews of 2016 and that my first year as Principal of Kardinia has come to an end. It has been an incredible year at our College with students and staff living the motto every day and ensuring that the wonderful foundations on which our College was built continue. I would like to thank the community for their support for both the College and for me personally throughout 2016 and to take the opportunity to wish all Kardinia families all the very best for the holiday season ahead. For those families leaving us this year I wish you and your children all the very best for the future and I hope that you stay in touch with the College through our Kardinians network. For those families returning next year, rest up, enjoy the break with family and friends and I look forward to seeing you refreshed in 2017!

Have a great holiday!
