Gotemba Nishi Exchange Visits

“The future is always beginning now”

  • Mark Strand

Over the past week we hosted a visit from 15 students and 2 teachers from our Sister School in Japan, Gotemba Nishi High School. The students attended school for the week and enjoyed spending time with their Kardinia host families exploring Geelong and the wider Bellarine area.

Next week we are fortunate enough to be able to return the visit by sending 16 students and 2 staff members to Gotemba Nishi for a week where our students will attend school and spend time with their Japanese host families.

These exchange visits play an important role in both building international mindedness amongst the students and host families and also in solidifying the partnership between our two schools. I would like to thank the Kardinia host families for their enthusiastic support of the program and for providing our visiting students with such wonderful memories.

I would encourage all students to keep an eye out for future exchange programs so that they truly do take advantage of the international component of our College.

Have a great week!
